WHO WE ARE & OUR COMMUNITY
Nappa Society is a gratitude to women artisans. We aim to create handcrafted leather goods that are not only premium but also functional. We are a small team of craftsmen filled with love for leather and skilled knowledge in making of handmade products passed on to us by our forefathers.
ECO FRIENDLY & SUSTAINABLE LEATHER
The leather used in our products is the outermost layer of the cowhide skin which is known as the Full Grain Leather and therefore is the most strongest and durable form of leather. Moreover, the leather is not coated by any artifical chemical and is only treated with vegetable tanning, thus showing its natural marks and providing durability. It surely does beautify as it ages.
OUR PROCESS
- Hides of Nappa Society are a by-product of local meat and dairy farming. These are otherwise gone to waste therefore we like to use them in our products and reduce the wastage.
- The hides are tanned in the tanneries based In North India. It usually takes 4 weeks from transforming the “wet blue” to its high quality leather with luxurious touch.
- The hides are cut by hand using traditional leather knife and the leftover part of hide is used in making smaller parts of the bag such as zip pullers, crossbody attachments etc.
- We can personalise the bag by adding any initials, phrases or logo of your choice.
- Our artisans makes each bag by their hands, glue and stitch them simultaneously. 6. We use only Internationally renowned shipping companies like FedEx, UPS or DHL Express with an accurate tracking number to ship the products to your country without charging any shipping fee.
